Hello! Welcome to our startup compass. This is developed with information from 330+ startups to visualise and show
key venture activities with the potential to accelerate European Energy Security. These have been categorised into
three routes for immediate impact:
- Use Less: Solutions that enable us to reduce energy consumption, our bills and the supply-demand gap.
- Unblock Projects: Solutions to prevent construction delays and emissions, enabling us to accelerate cleaner energy
infrastructure.
- Scale Local: Solutions that lower barriers to local, micro-energy adoption, enabling us to harness untapped
potential
Most startups are presented as dots, and 'Hero' startups are presented as stars, which are great illustrative examples
of the areas. You can move your mouse to hover on all startups to see more information, as well as click on them to go
to the websites. Startups are colour coded with the funding stages as shown in the 'Funding Key' below. You can also
click on the stages to filter the startups on the compass. There are 2 toggles below the 'Funding Key', the top toggle
rearranges the startups by either founding year or funding stage; the bottom toggle is used to either show all
startups with the same opacity or highlight the 'Hero' startups by making non-'Hero' startups slightly transparent.
